Association to Empower the Special Needs Children (ASSETS)

is a societal oriented and motivated towards the empowerment and the welfare of the mentally challenged people all over Sri Lanka. It is a non-religious voluntary organization; registered in the ministry of Social Services under the section 20 of the rights of persons with disabilities Act No 28 of 1996.

ASSETS empowers the children with varying intellectual, physical, psychological and emotional disabilities.
Rev. Dr. Alfred Kirupananthan and Selvarajah Marselo Pio considering as their dutiful undertaking to empower the mentally challenged to live as human persons accepted by the society decided to form and establish a non Profit making organization.

At the moment we are targeting to bring the professionally identified mentally challenged and special need children to provide them with the basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, medicine, recreation and hygienically living condition to enable a better ways of Living.
